Jess Artigliere (she/they) is an artist/educator living on Occupied Duwamish Territory (Seattle, Washington). She studied studio art at Providence College, graduating with a BA in 2017. Much of Jess’s work attempts to build a subjective vocubularly for processing questions of gender, domesticity, and intimacy. She carries a corrective energy to a more personal sense of how to cultivate resiliency against the casual violence of dominant culture.

In addition to her studio practice, Jess is also an active member of her community. She served as an artist in residence at Roger Williams Middle School, utilizing arts literacy and design thinking project-based learning to increase students’ habits of engagement. Jess has also taught courses on screen printing and art as activism at Providence CityArts for Youth and Artists’ Exchange in Rhode Island. They are currently training to become a birth worker to offer intentional care to the postpartum person.
